If you’re travelling with EasyJet on an upcoming flight, here’s everything you need to know about your baggage allowance and fees. Your allowance may differ depending on your ticket type, and the service that you’re flying on.
All Passengers are permitted to bring one piece of hand luggage as a carry on that will travel with them in the cabin. There are no weight restrictions on this baggage, however, it must be 45cm x 36cm x 20cm including handles and wheels and must fit underneath the seat in front of you. Customers who have booked Up Front or Extra Leg room seat can bring an additional large cabin bag at a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm and must fit in the overhead locker.
EasyJet Plus cardholders and FLEXI fare customers are also allowed to bring this additional large cabin bag at no addition or at a discounted rate. You can also opt for Hands Free, which places your cabin bag into the hold. Simply drop your cabin bag off at the Easyjet Plus Bag Drop and you’ll get your bags first off the carousel.

Passengers can buy up to three hold bags. A standard hold bag is 23kg up to a maximum of 32kg per bag. No single item can weigh more than 32kg, or exceed the maximum total size of 275cm. Baggage can be purchased online, over the phone, or at the airport and the price will depend on the route, season, flight and time of booking.
Adding additional weight to your pre-booked hold allowance can be purchased online only in 3KG increments. This costs up to £15 per 3KG per item, per flight, up to a maximum of 32 KG. However, if you’ve already purchased a 15KG hold bag and are adding additional weight, you can do this up to 27KG.
Items that weigh more than your pre-booked weight will be subject to an excess weight fee at the airport, charged at £12 per kilo, per item, per flight, with a maximum weight of 32KG being accepted.
Sports Equipment can be checked in as hold luggage, you can purchase an allowance but you’re only permitted one piece of sports equipment per customer.
Small Sports Equipment must not exceed 20KG and can be purchased online for £37 per item, per flight. This can also be added at the airport, however, the fee increases to £47 per item, per flight.
Large Sports Equipment must not exceed 32KG and can be purchased online for £45 per item per flight. This can also be added at the airport, however the fee increases to £55 per item, per flight.
To ensure there’s enough space in the aircraft’s hold, EasyJet restrict the allowance for large sports equipment. For bookings online, you can only buy a maximum of 6 items of large sports equipment, even if there’s more than 6 passengers on your booking. Musical Instruments can be taken into the cabin with you. However, your cabin baggage allowance determines what you are allowed to take onboard with you.

Musical Instruments that are larger than 30 x 117 x 38cm can travel in the cabin, however, you will need to purchase a separate ticket for them. The instrument (including it's case) must not exceed 75KG. There's additional safety requirements that must be met to ensure that the instrument can be safely accommodated in the cabin, otherwise it may have be checked into the hold.
