Air New Zealand Carry-On Baggage
Your carry-on baggage allowance is determined by your class of service.
Economy passengers are permitted to carry one piece of carry-on baggage, which must not exceed 7kg, plus one small item, such as a handbag or thin/small laptop. Premium Economy, Business and connecting Business passengers, plus Airpoints Gold, Elite and Star Alliance Gold members are permitted to carry up to two pieces of carry on baggage, weighing up to 14kg total with one item up to 10kg, plus one small item.
The total dimensions for any carry-on bag must not exceed 118cm.
If your carry-on baggage exceeds the allowance, it will need to be checked into the hold.

Air New Zealand Checked Baggage
Your checked baggage allowance is determined by your fare and class of service.
Seat fares are the only fares which do not include baggage allowance.
On domestic flights, the Seat + Bag, Flexi Time and Smart Saver fares include one piece of checked baggage, which must not exceed the allowance of 23kg.
Flexi Plus fares include two pieces, each which must not exceed 23kg.
On international flights, the Seat + Bag, The Works and Economy fares include one piece of checked baggage, which must not exceed the allowance of 23kg.
Works Deluxe and Premium Economy fares include two pieces.
Business passengers have a checked allowance of three bags.
The total dimensions for any checked baggage must not exceed 158cm.
If you want to take more bags, you can purchase this as part of your booking or any time before your day of travel. The maximum number of checked bags per person is 3 bags.

Air New Zealand Excess Baggage
